Hanging Gardens of Babylon

Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the only wonder that thinks as a legend, alleged to have been built in the ancient city of Babylon and its current location near the city of Hilla, Babil province, Iraq..



Hanging Gardens of Babylon not only wonder that existed in Babylon, the city walls and the obelisk attributed to Queen Semiramis also of the wonders of the city.


Attributed the Hanging Gardens of Babylon to the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II, who ruled between 562 and 605 BC.And stated that the reason for its construction is to satisfy his wife, Queen of Babylon, and that she was the daughter of one of the leaders of the allied armies with his father and who made great effort in conquering Assyrians.


So he decided Nebuchadnezzar that inhabited the building above the hills made in the hands of men, and in the form of gardens, terraces.

Greek wrote several books and Rmaniwon Gardens of Babylon, such as Strabo, Diodorjs and Quintus Curtius Rufus.In spite of this there is no any cuneiform texts describe these gardens, and there is no archaeological evidence shows her whereabouts.
Scientists concluded veterans possibility to use a spiral like the IUD, which was invented by Archimedes later was used for irrigation in the stands Gardens of Babylon.
They built their conclusions on the descriptions that I mentioned old books for parks and mentioned that garden irrigation requires 8,200 gallons of water 37,000 liters........
